Lemaia ( Arabic الماية, DMG al-Māya ) is one of the settlement centers of Libya and is located in the Tripolitania region in the Munizip al-Jifara . In 2012 the city had roughly 2,383 inhabitants.
During the Italian colonial period, the city was part of the Ferrovia Tripoli-Zuara route .
