Lengwe Kapotwe

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lengwe Kapotwe is a Zambian soccer player who unexpectedly came to an international match for the Zambian national soccer team in 2009 .

Career

Kapotwe has been playing for English club Ockham FC since 2007 , which has its game operations in the Premier Division of the Guildford and Woking Alliance League , the 14th level in English football.

For a friendly game between Zambia and Ghana on August 12, 2009 at the Brisbane Road stadium in London , only nine Zambian national players were available due to administrative failures (applying for visas too late ), so Kapotwe, Kasase Kabwe and Lyson Zulu were three in UK-based Zambians recruited for the game. Kapotwe was Zambia's only substitute at the start of the game, but had to leave for the injured Nyambe Mulenga after just eight minutes . After the two national players Emmanuel Mayuka and William Njovu , who are active in Israel, arrived at the stadium shortly before half-time , he was replaced with Kabwe at half-time.
