Lenne (Hastière)

Lenne is a hamlet in the Belgian municipality of Hastière in the province of Namur in the Wallonia region .

The Meuse flows southwest of the village , on which Freÿr Castle is located east of Lenne . North is Onhaye , south Waulsort . Lenne essentially consists of two homesteads.

history

During the First World War there was fighting between German and French troops in the Lenne area. On August 23, 1914, German troops coming from the east crossed the Meuse near Schloss Freÿr. On the night of August 24th, all of Lenne's farms were on fire.

The small village originally belonged to the municipality of Waulsort and then came with this to the municipality of Hastière.
