Lennie Johnson trained as an actress and director in Munich from 1974 to 1977. She is co-founder of the Augsburg collective theater AKT, actress in the Austrian children's and youth theater “Kukuruz” and then a member of the theater group “ Kollektiv Rote Rübe ” for which she worked from 1975 to 1981 as an actor, author and director. The music for the pieces was composed by Konstantin Wecker and Rio Reiser from Ton Steine ​​Scherben .

The tours with this group took her through Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and again and again to France, where she appeared at theaters in Nancy, Strasbourg, Lyon and Paris.
