Leo Bigger (* 1968 in Buchs SG ) is a Swiss offset printer , pastor and community leader of the Christian Free Church International Christian Fellowship (ICF) in Zurich .

Life

Bigger was born in 1968 as the son of a railroad worker and a housewife and grew up in Buchs SG in a Catholic family. He organized discos and directed the youth rock band blackout . After training as an offset printer , he attended the IGW Bible School in Zurich . He got his call to pastor in Chicago, whereupon he joined the young "International Christian Fellowship" congregation in Zurich, which was founded by Heinz W. Strupler . In 1994 Heinz W. Strupler handed him responsibility for the ICF. At the same time, Matthias Bölsterli was the pastor of the Protestant Limmat Church. In 1996 Leo Bigger, Matthias Bölsterli and Micky Conod founded the "International Christian Fellowship Church" as an association. Since then, Bigger has led this church, which has spread to numerous cities in Switzerland, Germany and Europe. Bigger's role models include the US evangelicals Bill Hybels and Rob Bell and the German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke , whom he also invited to the fifteenth anniversary of the "International Christian Fellowship Church" in 2011.

Bigger often preaches on certain topics at several Sunday services in succession, these series are then put into writing and thus turned into books that have been published for years by fontis Brunnen Verlag in Basel. The last three books were a trilogy that had the title lion, eagle and dove as symbolic animals that appear in the Bible. His goal is to address and pick people up where they are in order to bring them into contact with God. Leo Bigger moderates the program "BERATUNGSTV" together with his wife Susanna.
