Leona Constantia

Leona Constantia is an 18th century alchemical writer. She is the author of the Sunflower of the Wise , first published in 1704, according to information in this book.

She has at times been identified with the mysteric Jane Leade (1623–1704), such as by John Ferguson , but who also notes that her many other works are not concerned with chemistry or alchemy.

After Johann Friedrich Gmelin it comes from Clermont and also after Johann Friedrich Henkel . (afterwards a baroness from Clermont). Her treatise is printed in the Hermetic ABC (Berlin 1794, Volume 1, p. 172) (where she is identified with Jane Leade).
