The Leonardo Library is a reference library for professional literature located in the Salbke district of Magdeburg .

history

The library has been located in the Alte Schule Salbke community center since October 29, 2010 . Parts of the holdings are housed in Westerhüsen , where the library was previously. The library is operated by the European Education Center for Work and Society . The name is reminiscent of Leonardo da Vinci .

The foundation of the library goes back to an initiative of the professor at the University of Hanover Günter Wiemann .

Duration

The inventory includes more than 25,000 textbooks and other materials for pre-vocational and vocational training from Germany and in particular from both German states during the German division. These include curricula, educational journals, teaching aids and methodological instructions, legal provisions on vocational training, books of tables, reference works and dissertations as well as theses on vocational topics. The Leonardo library also has a database of specialist books for vocational training and additional materials.

The library is primarily aimed at those working in the field of vocational training, such as vocational school teachers and trainers.
