Process mechanic for glass technology
The process mechanic for glass technology has been a state-recognized training occupation in Germany since 2000 according to the Vocational Training Act .
Duration of training and structure
The training period as a process mechanic for glass technology is usually three years. The training takes place at the training company and vocational school . It is a mono job .
Work areas
Process mechanics in glass technology work in glass melting , shaping and production control in industrial companies that manufacture glass . They monitor and control the manufacturing process in order to manufacture solid glass, flat glass , hollow glass , glass tubes or fiber glass. The glass products produced are then refined, e.g. B. by removing, separating, joining or forming. If there are problems in production, they intervene in the production process and rectify the fault. They are also there when production systems need to be converted.
