Leonore Puschert

Leonore Puschert (* October 28, 1936 - March 24, 2018 ) was a German translator .

Life

Puschert worked for many years as a translator at Kosmos-Verlag . In 1959 she translated her first youth book for Kosmos and in the following years was responsible for the translation of other books from English and Swedish into German. From 1968 to 1992 she translated the American series "The three investigators" into German. It was probably also for the name “ The three ??? “Partly responsible that the series got in Germany. For a translator, she achieved her relatively high level of awareness primarily because she worked on the German text of the three ??? Invented references by Alfred Hitchcock and added to the text. Two stories, which were hands-on volumes in the US original, were reworked by her into continuous stories.
