Leping

The city of Leping ( Chinese 乐平 市 , Pinyin Lèpíng Shì ) is an independent city in the north of the Chinese province of Jiangxi . It belongs to the administrative area of the district-free city of Jingdezhen, which is known for its porcelain . Leping has an area of 1,973 km² and approx. 770,000 inhabitants (end of 2002).
