Les Escapades from Karlsruhe is an Ensemble for Early Music , which was founded in the 2000th The four Gambistinnen Sabine Kreutzberger, Franziska Finck, Adina Scheyhing and Barbara Pfeifer studied in The Hague, Basel and Trossingen. They make music in the cast as a pure gamba consort or in cooperation with other artists or choirs. The name of the ensemble promises unexpected access to the musical world of the Renaissance and Baroque .

repertoire

Les Escapades perform with a wide range of repertoire. This includes classical English consort music of the 16th and 17th centuries, works and arrangements of Spanish music of the Siglo de Oro or numerous German sacred works, including participation in performances of Buxtehude's Membra Jesu nostri . The production Les Escapades du Roi is a specialty : the courtly music of Versailles is presented based on the fictional adventures of a young woman at the court of the “Sun King” Louis XIV . The ensemble also took part in productions by Südwestrundfunk ( SWR ).
