Leslie Kong
Leslie Kong (born 1933 in Kingston ; † August 9, 1971 ibid) was a Jamaican music producer of Chinese descent.
He was the first to discover Bob Marley's great musical talent. Bob's first songs " Judge Not " and "One Cup Of Coffee" were released on Kong's label. However, in 1964 there was already another break between Leslie Kong and Bob Marley , as Kong no longer wanted to pay Marley after his second song. Other groups and musicians produced by Kong include Desmond Dekker , Jimmy Cliff , The Pioneers and Toots & the Maytals . In 1971 Kong died of heart failure.
