In the German Soil Systematics , a soil classification system belonging to soil science , Lessivés represent a class within the Terrestrial Soil Department .

The name is derived from the translocative tone shifting process ( Lessivierung ).

According to this system, two soil types are separated :

• Parabrown earth (LL)
• Pale earth (LF)
