Letizia Bonini (actually Maria Letizia Bertramo ; born May 13, 1902 in Florence , † January 20, 1974 in Viareggio ) was an Italian actress .

Life

The daughter of the actor couple Calisto Bertramo and Ernestina Bardazzi made her debut at the age of 15 alongside her father, who was also the artistic director of an ensemble to whom u. a. Alda Borelli belonged to. Bonini played at the "Teatro del Popolo" and in the 1922/23 season with Eleonora Duse . In the next decade she became the first lady in the drama groups around her father and Umberto Casilini , with whom she was also part of the management. In 1934 she founded the “Compagnia degli Spettacoli Gialli” with Romano Calò and played alongside Giulio Donadio , Marcello Giorda , Memo Benassi and Corrado Racca . In 1939 there was a remarkable production by Giovacchino Forzanos Cesare .

Bonini had taken her stage name for her film debut Il solitario della montagna ; However, the expectations of a film career awakened by this early sound film did not come true. The few films made up to 1935 have been completely forgotten; only two of her three roles in 1939 testify to Bonini's abilities. Both play in the Venetian environment and show them as the most important female supporting role: Il fornaretto di Venezia , a great public success, as well as Scandalo perbene , a less successful, but remarkable work.

After the Second World War , Bonini no longer appeared.
