Civil Code (Latvia)

The Civil Code of the Republic of Latvia ( Latvijas Republikas Civillikums , CL ) is the basis of Latvian private law . It is the largest Latvian law, contains 2,400 articles and was passed on January 28, 1937. It was initially in force until 1940 and came into force again between 1992 and 1993.
