The Timmendorf-Poel lighthouse is a lighthouse on the Baltic Sea in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with the international serial number C 1386 . It is located on the island of Poel near the town of Timmendorf . It marks the entrance to the Wismar Bay and is one of two larger beacons on the island.

The Timmendorfer lighthouse was put into operation on October 1st, 1872 and raised by 3.6 meters in 1931 to its current height of 21 meters. This part remained uncoated in contrast to the lower part which was painted white. The tower has been remote-controlled since 1978. From 1996 to 1997 the listed brick tower had to be stabilized and therefore partially rebuilt. In the course of the work, the entire beacon technology was replaced. It shows the identifier common mode fire (Iso / Glt. 6 seconds) and reaches a range at Sigma 0.741 to approx. 16 nautical miles . On May 13, 1975, a stamp was issued by the German Post of the GDR for 5 Pfennig, which shows the tower. It belongs to the series lighthouses, beacons, beacons and pier lights .
