The Lewis and Clark Bridge is a tannier bridge that spans the Columbia River between Longview, Washington and Rainier, Oregon .

The bridge opened on March 29, 1930 as a privately funded bridge under the name Longview Bridge . The $ 5.8 million cost was funded by the bridge toll of $ 1 per vehicle and 10 cents per pedestrian. At the time, it was the longest bridge of its kind in the entire United States. The state of Washington bought the bridge in 1947 and the survey put the bridge duty 1965, was fully refinanced as the bridge. In 1980 the bridge was renamed in honor of the Lewis and Clark Expedition . The road surface was refurbished from 2003 to 2004 for a total of $ 29.2 million.
