Liège Basket is a Belgian basketball club from Liège .

history

The club was founded in 1967 as the Fléron Basket Club . Until the turn of the century, they played in the lower leagues of Belgian basketball. In 2000, they merged with the two clubs BC Hannut and Essor Hannut , called themselves Belgacom Liége Basket and rose to the first division. The greatest successes in the club's history followed. In 2001 they reached the quarter-finals of the Korać Cup , a European Cup. The first and so far only title was won in 2004, the Belgian Basketball Cup.

In 2012 Belgacom ended its sponsorship, so the association was renamed Liége Basket .
