The school was founded in 1971. There is a day school with a higher department and technical school as well as an evening school for working people.

The day school can be attended by pupils after the eighth or ninth grade. It is divided into a four-year technical school and five-year training in the higher education department and, in addition to general high school education, offers professional and practical technical training.

A technical college degree can be obtained in the technical college with the areas of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. The five-year training at the higher department ends with the Matura . In contrast to the grammar school, at this school the thesis is carried out together with a company.

The school is divided into the departments of mechanical engineering , mechatronics , electrical engineering , information technology and logistics in Freistadt.

Evening school

In the higher educational establishments of the evening school, working people can acquire a degree in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. This takes place part-time from Monday to Friday between 4:40 pm and 9:40 pm.
