Li Jinyuan (artist)

Li Jinyuan (* 1945 in Chengdu ) is a Chinese artist.

It was only after the Cultural Revolution , during which he was in prison and in a re-education camp , that he began to make painting his profession in 1979. Today Li is a professor of Chinese painting in Chengdu.

Study stays in Asia and Europe as well as international exhibitions made Li an internationally recognized artist. He received numerous awards for his pictures, which describe the harmony of heaven and earth, man and nature.

He is also the painter of the 2007 Misereor Hunger Cloth "Blessed are you ...", which deals with the Beatitudes of the Sermon on the Mount .
