Liam Mac Cóil

Liam Mac Cóil [ ˈlʲiːəm məˈkoːlʲ ] (* 1952 in Blackrock, Dublin ) is an Irish writer and literary critic whose work is mainly written in the Irish language .

Mac Cóil currently lives in the Gaeltacht Rath Cairn in County Meath . Together with Ruairí Ó hUiginn, he is the editor of the annual publication Bliainiris . He is also director of the Carbad publishing house . He publishes novels, articles and essays on literature, history, art and television.

His novel Fontenoy won the 2006 Gradam Uí Shúilleabháin Prize .
