Liberty Films

Liberty Films was an independent film production company founded by Frank Capra and fellow directors William Wyler and George Stevens in April 1945. The company has only produced two films during its existence: On the one hand, the success Isn't life beautiful? (from 1946), originally published by RKO Radio Pictures , and on the other hand the film version of the theatrical hit State of the Union The Best Man (1948), originally published by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer . Paramount Pictures bought the company in May 1947 and was dissolved in April 1951.
