Liberty Vorsorge AG is an independent pension platform with headquarters in Schwyz , Switzerland . The company offers compulsory and non-compulsory solutions for company pension schemes ( 2nd pillar ) and private retirement savings ( pillar 3a ).

history

2005 to 2009

Liberty Vorsorge was founded in 2005 by Oliver Bienek. With the establishment of the stock corporation , the first foundation , the Liberty Vested Benefits Foundation , was also brought into being. The Liberty 3a pension foundation was established in 2008 and in the same year Liberty pension reached the mark of CHF 100 million in pension assets with 500 customers. The Liberty BVG Collective Foundation and the Liberty Flex Invest Foundation were established in 2009. At the end of 2009, the pension assets amounted to CHF 300 million with 3,000 customers.

2010 to 2014

In 2010 Liberty Vorsorge had 10 partners and managed 600 million CHF for 6,000 customers by the end of 2011. With the establishment of the Compare Invest investment platform, which compares over 40 BVG funds, Liberty Pensions achieved a real success. The share of securities in total pension assets was over 30% for the first time. In order to better reach customers in western Switzerland, a second office was opened in Commugny ( VD ) in 2013 . In 2014 Liberty Vorsorge was already looking after 1.15 billion CHF and 8,500 customers.

2015 to 2018

In 2015, the Compare Invest investment platform was expanded and expanded. In addition, the cooperation with the Swiss business association law, finance and medicine started. In 2016, Liberty had 13,500 customers with retirement savings of CHF 1.63 billion. The Liberty introduces Italian as the fourth language and from 2017 linguistically covers the whole of Switzerland. As of the end of 2018, 21,297 customers with plan assets of over CHF 2.3 billion were served.

Business model

The Liberty Pensions is an independent pension platform with benefits under the Swiss pension plans . Liberty develops compulsory and non-compulsory solutions for company pension schemes ( 2nd pillar ) and private retirement savings ( pillar 3a ). Company pension plans include vested benefits, collective and individual pension plans for small and medium-sized companies as well as plans for company owners and managers. Liberty Vorsorge comprises four foundations: Liberty Vested Benefits Foundation, Liberty 3a Pension Foundation, Liberty BVG Collective Foundation, Liberty Flex Invest Foundation (Bel-Etage).

The highest body of each foundation is the foundation council. In the case of the vested benefits foundation, the 3a pension foundation and the Flex Invest foundation, the board of trustees is determined by the founder. At the BVG collective foundation, it is made up of two employer and employee representatives on an equal footing and is elected for four years. The operational management is the responsibility of the management and has been delegated to a company specializing in management and administration.

Legal bases

The legal basis is the Federal Act on Occupational Old-Age, Survivors 'and Disability Pension Plans (BVG), the Federal Act on Freedom of Movement in Occupational Old-Age, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans (Vested Benefits Act, FZG) and the associated ordinances. The legal bases also include the various regulations of the four Liberty foundations.
