The Liberty XL-2 is a two-seat sport aircraft produced by the US company Liberty Aerospace from Melbourne (Florida) .
history
The Liberty XL-2 was approved by the US FAA on February 19, 2004 and approved by the European EASA on June 1, 2007 . It will be distributed from 2008 by the Piper general agency.
construction
The aircraft is a two-seater low wing aircraft with a fuselage made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and a three-legged landing gear. It is powered by a four-cylinder engine from Teledyne Continental Motors with FADEC system and a two-bladed propeller with a diameter of 1.75 m. The cabin is 0.86 cm high, 2.33 m long and 1.22 m wide. It costs between $ 175,000 and $ 215,000 , depending on the avionics .
