Yangtze River ( Chang Jiang )

The Song of Chang Jiang ( Chinese  长江 之 歌 , Pinyin Cháng Jiāng zhī gē ) is a very popular patriotic song in China about China's longest and most powerful river , the Yangtze River , which is called Chang Jiang ("Long River") in Chinese . The lyrics of the song are by Hu Hongwei , the music by Wang Shiguang .

The song is the theme of a TV documentary series about the river with the Chinese title Huashuo Chang Jiang from the early 1980s, which was widely acclaimed in China .


In 2007, China's first lunar satellite, Chang'e-1 , was equipped with this selected song, among other things.
