Songs the world doesn't need is a 1995 music album by the comedians Olli Dittrich and Wigald Boning , who called themselves as a duo Die Doofen .

The album held the top position in the German album charts for six weeks in the summer of 1995. The single release Mief also stayed at the top of the singles charts for a week.

The album was stylistic in various ways - firstly, it was pervaded by deliberately amateurish and unfinished melodies. Second, the lyrics were purposely profane, trivial, or embarrassing. Third, the music was performed in colorful, mismatched second-hand clothing (preferably 1970s aesthetics).
