Lietzenseebrücke
The Lietzenseebrücke is a road bridge in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg that was inaugurated in 1904 .
description
The bridge, built from red sandstone in 1904 according to plans by the architect Rudolf Walter on behalf of the Terrain-Aktiengesellschaft Park Witzleben , leads the Neue Kantstrasse over the Lietzensee . The bridge is a monument . Immediately after its commissioning, the bridge divided the lake area into two parts, which did not even contain a passage for pedestrians. In 1954, the district administration had a path built around a bridge pillar under the Lietzensee bridge, so that the two parts of the park have been reconnected for pedestrians and cyclists since then.
