Lieutenant ( French [ ljøtˈnɑ̃ ], English [ lɛfˈtɛnənt ] ( BE ) or [ luːˈtɛnənt ] ( AE )) stands for:
- Lieutenant , military rank in English-speaking countries, see Leutnant , Oberleutnant or Kapitänleutnant . In France and the French-influenced countries, he corresponds to the first lieutenant. In Slavophone armed forces, the counterpart to the Lieutenant is the Porutschik .
