Ligue Nationale de Rugby

The Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) is an organization whose task it is to organize professional match operations in rugby union in France , on behalf of the Ministry of Sports and the Fédération Française de Rugby (FFR). In addition, the LNR is responsible for the supervision, development, finances, the promotion of professional rugby and advising the clubs involved.

It organizes, regulates and finances the professional national championships Top 14 and Pro D2 . She also negotiates television broadcast contracts and championship sponsorship deals.

The Ligue Nationale de Rugby is composed of the following people:

  • president
  • One delegate each from the 30 clubs in the first and second professional leagues
  • three delegates from the FFR
  • a delegate of the players
  • a delegate of the trainers
  • a delegate of the team doctors
  • five external delegates, two of which are appointed by the FFR and three by the associations
  • a delegate of the arbitrators
