The Lille Langebro is a bicycle and pedestrian bridge over the Inner Harbor of Copenhagen north of the Langebro . The bridge is 175 m long and consists of four parts. The two middle parts of the bridge can be turned to the side to enable large ships to pass through. From an architectural point of view, the curved shape of the bridge should be emphasized. There are no straight lines in the bridge shape.
The bridge begins at Vester Voldgade and ends at Langebrogade in Christianshavn . The bridge is in the same place as the original Langebro from 1690 to 1903.
Completion was planned for autumn 2018, but an accident while loading the bridge parts in the Netherlands delayed construction. The bridge was opened to bicycle and pedestrian traffic on July 1, 2019. A festive opening event took place on August 14, 2019.
The name of the bridge was determined through an open competition.
Alongside Inderhavnsbroen and Bryggebroen, the bridge is the third pure bicycle / pedestrian bridge across Copenhagen Harbor.
