Limonia phragmitidis is a mosquito belonging to the family of wilts (Limoniidae).

features

The mosquitoes reach a body length of 8 to 9 millimeters. Her body is reddish yellow in color, the thorax has a brown stripe in the center in front. The wings are also yellowish and have three small faded, darkened spots on the wing veins .

Way of life and distribution

The animals are found all over Europe, east to the Altai Mountains , and colonize moist forests. They are common in Central Europe and fly from May to August.
