LINAK is a global manufacturer of electric linear actuators . These are commonly referred to as actuators in the industry.

history

Linak's company history began in 1907 with the mechanical engineering company Christian Jensen. In 1976, Bent Jensen, Christian Jensen's grandson, took over the company. The family company employed seven people at the time. The first linear drive was launched in 1979. In 1990, the company opened its first foreign subsidiary, LINAK UK, in Great Britain . A plant with an area of ​​5,000 m 2 was opened in the USA in 1999, and sales facilities were also built there. In 2002, the new production building with an area of ​​around 9,000 m 2 was inaugurated near the headquarters in Denmark. After LINAK was the first Danish company to receive the approval certificate for the Chinese market from the local Chamber of Commerce in 1990, production facilities were set up in China in 2006 to supply the Chinese market. Today LINAK employs around 1,600 people worldwide.

Along with Danfoss, Linak is one of the largest employers on the island of Als ( German : Alsen ).
