Linces Tecnológico de Celaya
Linces Tecnológico de Celaya or Linces del ITC is the name for teams of the Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya (ITC for short) in the Mexican city of Celaya in the state of Guanajuato . The name Linces de Celaya (dt. Lynx of Celaya ) is derived from the university's mascot .
Soccer
In the 1970s, the football team was represented under the name Tecnológico de Celaya for several seasons in the Segunda División , then in the Tercera División . After winning this league in the 1990/91 season, the team returned to the second division for the following two seasons in 1991/92 and 1992/93 , where local rivals Real Celaya were also represented at the same time .
Other teams
Other teams have also successfully represented the Celaya University of Technology under this name. The ITC maintains women's football and basketball teams, and the women's volleyball team won a title in May 2011. The ITC also maintains a men's American football team .
