Lindab is a Swedish company that produces steel products and system products for the construction industry.

history

In 1956, Lindab started out as a small plumber in Lidhult, Sweden. The production soon moved to Båstad in southern Sweden. In 1959, Lindab was registered as a company under its then name.

In 1984 Lindab was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and in 1992 on the Danish Stock Exchange.

The group, which is represented in 32 countries and has around 5,100 employees, achieved sales of SEK 8,242 million in 2017. The main sales market is building construction without residential construction, which accounts for 80 percent of sales, while residential construction accounts for 20 percent of sales.

The share is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm in the mid-cap segment under the ticker LIAB.

Business areas

Lindab has the ventilation, building components and building systems business areas:

The ventilation division comprises ducts and components, air outlets and air water systems for air conditioning and ventilation systems. He also sells IT programs for planning and calculating ventilation systems and room air conditioning systems.

The Building Components division trades in components made of thin sheet metal and steel profiles. Depending on the market structure, the products for commercial buildings are marketed through our own branches, dealers or wholesalers, and for residential buildings through DIY stores.

The Buildings division plans, manufactures and sells steel building systems for warehouses, production and offices under the name Astron . The building concepts include the supporting structure, various roof and wall systems as well as support in the planning phase. The buildings can be accessed via a Europe-wide network.
