The Lindemans Brewery

Lindemans is a traditional private brewery specializing in lambic beer in the village of Vlezenbeek in the rural Pajottenland and belongs to the so-called Flemish Rand around Brussels; the village lies within the municipality of Sint-Pieters-Leeuw in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant . The brewery is a member of the Belgian Family Brewers . In 2012, 85,000 hl of beer were brewed.

history

The brewery has its origins in 1822 when the Lindemans family started brewing lambic beer on their farm in Vlezenbeek during the winter months. The barley and wheat required for the brewing process were grown on the farm itself. Due to the increasing commercial success of their beer, the farm's agricultural activities increasingly declined, were completely discontinued in 1930, and the brewery now started producing Lindemans Kriek and Lindemans Geuze as a single-owner . In 1978 the Faro was added; in 1986 and 1987, the cassis and pecheresse were added to the brewing and beer range. Due to the increasing demand, a new one was built in 1991 - adjacent to the old brewery; production could be tripled as a result. The private brewery is owned by the Lindemans family in the seventh generation. It can also be visited in guided tours after registration.

Lindemans is valued by countless lovers around the world for its lambics and fruit beers.
