Lineas Group nv / sa (until April 27, 2017 B-Logistics) is a Belgian rail freight company . It emerged from SNCB-Logistics. Lineas has subsidiaries in France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

history

The company was founded in 2005 as a subsidiary of the state-owned SNCB under the name "B Cargo". In 2011, the company was privatized under the name "SNCB Logistics". For the first time in 2013, the rail freight operator was able to report positive earnings before taxes, interest and depreciation ( Ebitda ). In 2014, Ebitda was EUR 11 million with sales of EUR 452 million. After Argos Wityu took over 69% of the shares in 2015, the company was named "B Logistics" and has been known as Lineas since 2017. On December 31, 2017, Lineas terminated its stake in the company Cobra SA / NV, a joint production company with DB Cargo for German-Belgian rail freight transport based in Brussels.

Shareholder

The owners are Argos Wityu and the National Company of the Belgian Railways (NMBS / SNCB). The shares were initially divided between the two shareholders at 68.88% and 31.12%. Argos Wityu has held 90% of the shares since May 2020, NMBS / SNCB 10%.
