Lingiad
The Lingiade was a major gymnastics event held in Stockholm in honor of the founder of Swedish gymnastics, Pehr Henrik Ling .
The Lingiaden took place in 1939 and 1949, and the venue was the Stockholm Olympic Stadium .
On her 45th voyage from July 17 to 25, 1939, the Wilhelm Gustloff brought 1,400 German athletes from Swinoujscie to Stockholm and at the same time served as a barge for the athletes and supervisors.
In 1949, 14,000 people from 55 countries attended the event.
