The line 3 is a metro line of Baku Metro in the Azerbaijani capital Baku . It is also known as the purple line . The route currently comprises two stations.

history

Construction on line 3 began in September 2009, and tunnel drilling began in February 2011. Line 3 was opened as the third line of the Baku Metro on April 19, 2016 with the 2.1 km long section Memar Əcəmi-2 to Avtovağzal .

An expansion of Line 3 to twelve stations is planned.

Routing

In its current state of development, line 3 connects the two stations Memar Əcəmi-2 and Avtovağzal. At the Memar Əcəmi-2 station, you can switch to line 2 , the so-called green line , in the connected Memar Əcəmi station .

The Baku International Bus Terminal is located at Avtovağzal station .
