Linnebach ring

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Linnebach-Ring goes back to a foundation of the opera singer Karoline Linnebach, b. Bechthold-Frey (1877–1966), the widow of the inventor and stage technician Adolf Linnebach (1876–1963), who u. a. was also the founding chairman of the German Stage Technology Society founded in 1937 . From 1914 to 1920 he was entrusted with the editing of the " Bühnentechnische Rundschau ".

The ring was awarded for life to the most famous living German stage technician until 2015 and is considered the highest award in German stage technology . In 2015, Siegfried Stäblein broke this regulation by handing the ring on to Karin Winkelsesser, editor of the trade journal Bühnentechnische Rundschau and representative of the German Theater Technology Society , during his lifetime .
