The Linsingenstraße is a street in Bad Freienwalde (Oder) in the district Oderland in Brandenburg .

Location and history

Linsingenstrasse begins on Wriezener Strasse and runs in a south-westerly direction to Melcherstrasse. The street is crossed by Victor-Blüthgen-Straße and shortly before the end, Karl-Weise-Straße turns left. The length of the street is about 300 meters. The numbering starts at Wriezener Straße on the left and runs clockwise back to Wriezener Straße.

The street is named after the mayor Julius Linsingen, who held the office of mayor from 1866 to 1883. The road was laid out around 1900 when the city was expanded to the southeast.

Architectural monuments

One house is listed on Linsingenstrasse.

  • Linsingenstrasse 15: Primary school II or "Theodor Fontane" primary school was built in 1898 as the first building on Linsingenstrasse. The city's population rose sharply at that time. The school was inaugurated on April 12, 1899. It is a two-story building with a half-hip roof . There is a middle risalit on the front and back . There are lattice windows of the classrooms on the gable ends. The facade is structured with red bricks. The school is free, it is surrounded by a schoolyard.

In addition to the listed school, there are two other houses on Linsingenstrasse that are of interest in terms of their construction. The houses are intended for entry in the list of monuments.

  • Linsingenstrasse 3: The house on the corner of Victor-Blüthgen-Strasse was built in 1910. It is a three-story house with a hipped roof . The facade shows styles of historicism and art nouveau .
  • Linsingenstraße 13: The house was built in 1903 and is part of the first development on the street. It is elevated in the southern part of Linsingenstrasse. It is a three-story house with a gable roof . In the middle of the house there are balconies and a small house . There are triangular gables on the roof.
