Stefan Reil (* in Landshut ) is a German musical actor and actor.

Life

Reil completed dance, singing and acting training at the Performing Arts Studios Vienna and in New York at the Broadway Dance Center. He made his debut as a soloist in Vienna in the production Sunday in the Park with George and in the Shakespeare musical Verliebte und Verrückte in the Raimundtheater . After his training he was at the Theater an der Wien in the ensemble of the musical Mozart! and then played in Little Shop of Horrors in the Metropol in Vienna.

At the German premiere of Mozart! in Hamburg at the Neue Flora (2001) Reil took on the role of Schikaneder and then returned to the Konzerthaus in Vienna for the 10th Anniversary Concert of the musical Elisabeth .

He played the role of Ned in the Cologne premiere cast of Jekyll & Hyde at the Musical Dome , after which he was a soloist at the Braunschweig State Theater for the production Braunschweig Braunschweig . With the German version of Die Schöne und das Biest , Stefan Reil toured all over Germany.

Then came as the Apostle John in Jesus Christ Superstar to the United Theaters of Bolzano . Back at the Staatstheater Braunschweig he took on the role of Hortensio in Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate and at the same time played in Anything Goes at the Nationaltheater Mannheim .

From May 2007 Reil was part of the premiere cast of the musical Mamma Mia! At the Colosseum Theater in Essen . and also played the role of Sky there. Following this engagement he was Siegfried in Frank Nimsgern 's musical Der Ring at the Saarland State Theater in Saarbrücken.

At the German premiere of Marie Antoinette in Bremen in 2009, he worked as a choreographic assistant, dance captain and swing and played a. a. also Jaques René Hébert and Pierre A. Caron de Beaumarchais.

Back in Vienna he created the role of Lufthansa steward Dirk in the production Hallo Steward! Boeing-Boeing the other way around at the cabaret Simpl. His path eventually led him to the traditional Volksoper Vienna , where he worked in Josef Köpplinger's production of Hello, Dolly! was seen. He then appeared in the spring of 2011 as Margaret Mead in Hair at the United Theaters in Bozen , where he subsequently appeared as head witch in the production Die kleine Hexe and took over the choreographic direction.

In 2012 he played Raoul in the touring production of The Phantom of the Opera , before taking on the role of Jean-Michel in the production La Cage aux Folles at the Darmstadt State Theater . From June 2013 he was seen in Richard O'Brian's musical The Rocky Horror Show as Rocky at the Westphalian State Theater . In 2014 Stefan Reil toured Germany and Switzerland with Grease in the double role of Vince Fontaine / Teen Angel. From 2014 to 2016 Reil played the riff at the Halle Opera in West Side Story and Jean-Michel in La Cage aux Folles at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater in Görlitz. At the beginning of 2016, he played Austin in the Austrian premiere of I love you because . In 2017 he played at Theater Erfurt in West Side Story , at the Burgfestspiele Bad Vilbel as Klaus in Summer in the City and Artie Green in Sunset Boulevard .

In 2018, Stefan was part of the premiere cast of Aus Tradition anders - a lily musical as Willi Weiss - and went on tour again with Grease . Most recently he played Eugen Rohnsdorf in Die Csardasfürstin at the Saarland State Theater and Bill Calhoun / Lucentio in Kiss Me, Kate at the Theater Hof.

In addition to his theater engagements, he was also seen in several TV productions such as Freundinnen - now even more so (RTL), Ich bin Boes (Pro7), Heldt (ZDF).
