Life

In his youth, Snell's education was supported by a number of grants . He went to Cambridge where he specialized in math .

Since 1972 Snell has been writing books on the subject of occultism, some in a humorous style, which should have an influence on the magic of the late 20th century.

In 1973, in the 4th edition of Agape magazine, under the title Spare Parts, he published an introduction to the theory and practice of the British occultist Austin Osman Spare , which brought him into connection with the Chaos Magic movement. At that time, the Grant couple was only preparing their works for Spare.

In 1977, Snell stated that he performed the Abramelin ritual .

One of his best-known works is SSOTBME - An Essay on Magic (1974), which was translated into German and received additional editions. The abbreviation SSOTBME stands for Sex Secrets Of The Black Magicians Exposed (German: 'The sex secrets of the black magicians revealed').

Words Made Flesh , published in 1987, is a philosophical examination of the relationship between magic and rationalism . In it, the author develops his thoughts on reality as computer-generated virtual reality to the theory of a magical “information model”.

Snell is active in various occult groups, such as the former Ordo Templi Orientis .

Snell has been running a YouTube channel since 2015, where he presents his ideas.
