Lippisch P.010 was the name for two different designs by Alexander Lippisch , the head of "Department L" at the Messerschmitt works . The first draft from November 1941 saw a destroyer with two jet engines, while a second draft from May 1942 dealt with the construction of a propeller-driven high-speed bomber. Both concepts used the basic design typical of the Me 163 as a tailless middle-decker, but with significantly larger dimensions.
Draft November 1941
construction
The concept presented by Rudolf Rentel in November 1941 provided for a cantilevered middle-decker with two jet engines. In the middle of the fuselage two fuel tanks were to be accommodated, under which the internal bomb bay was located, which was supposed to hold a bomb load of 1000 kg. The defensive armament consisted of two rear-firing machine guns that were supposed to be operated by the pilot using a periscope.

history
After the Messerschmitt Me 210 had largely turned out to be a failure in use, Lippisch proposed a new design, which, however, was to take over many parts of the Me 210. The design provided for a Daimler-Benz DB 606 piston engine , which was supposed to drive a pusher propeller via a long-distance shaft. The design was then thoroughly designed by Ing.Stender and was given the designation Me 265. It was planned to take over the front part of the fuselage, parts of the vertical stabilizer and the armament in addition to numerous pieces of equipment from the Me 210. Production did not start, however, because the Me 410 went into series production instead, which could use an even larger number of Me 210 components.
