Liquor
The term liquor ( male , Latin for 'liquid') is used in medicine to describe various clear fluids in the body:
- the cerebrospinal fluid , see cerebrospinal fluid
- the fluid in the pericardium, cerebrospinal fluid pericardii , see pericardium
- the fluid in the tertiary follicle, liquor follicularis , see ovarian follicle
In pharmacy , certain preparations are called liquor:
- Liquor Aluminii acetico-tartarici , or Aluminii acetatis tartratis solutio : acetic clay , an antiseptic
- Liquor Kalii arsenicosi : Fowler's solution , potassium arsenite
Certain spirits ( liqueurs ) are sometimes referred to as liquor .
