Lisa Seuster

Lisa Seuster (born April 17, 1942 in Lüdenscheid ) is a German SPD politician and a former member of the German Bundestag .

Life

Lisa Seuster trained as an industrial clerk after completing secondary school and was employed in this profession until 1963. After that she worked as a housewife. In addition to her partisan work, she is also active as a member of various local clubs and associations. She is Protestant, married and has three children.

Lisa Seuster has been a member of the SPD since 1974 and is deputy chairwoman of the Märkischer Kreis sub- district . At the municipal level, she became a member of the City Council of Lüdenscheid, where she was the parliamentary group chairman until 1984. Since 1987 she was deputy mayor of her hometown Lüdenscheid and from 1994 to 1999 she was mayor . On September 12, 2004, she was awarded the ring of honor by the city of Lüdenscheid for her special services in the social policy area.

She was a member of the German Bundestag from February 18, 1987 to October 26, 1998 (11th to 13th electoral term). She was elected for the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) through a direct mandate in the Märkischer Kreis II constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia .
