Willi-Peter Sick

Willi-Peter Sick (born November 10, 1919 in Tiebensee ; † August 18, 2006 in Heide ) was a German entrepreneur and politician ( DP , CDU ).

Life and work

After attending primary school, Sick completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. He did Reich Labor Service in 1938 and took part in the Second World War as a soldier from 1939 to 1945 , in the Navy in 1939/40 and then in the Air Force .

Sick had been employed as an administrative clerk at the Heide employment office since 1946. In 1952/53 he was managing director of the West Coast employers' association and from 1953 to 1972 managing director of the Flensburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry . Later he was managing director of various smaller companies, including a construction company. From 1985 to 1991 he was President of the Federal Association of Self-Employed Persons (BDS).

Political party

Sick was a member of the German Party (DP) from 1947 to 1957. In 1960 he joined the CDU.

MP

Sick was a member of the district council of the Norderdithmarschen and Dithmarschen districts from 1966 to 1972 .

From 1972 to 1983 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

Willi-Peter Sick entered the Bundestag in 1980 via the Schleswig-Holstein state list and before that as a directly elected member of the constituency of North Friesland - Dithmarschen-Nord .
