The Bundestag constituency Nordfriesland - Dithmarschen Nord (constituency 2) is an electoral district in Schleswig-Holstein for the elections to the German Bundestag . It includes the district of North Friesland and the town of Heide from the district of Dithmarschen as well as the offices of Büsum-Wesselburen , parish land communities Eider and parish land community Heider Umland .

history

The constituency of North Friesland - Dithmarschen Nord was called Husum constituency in the federal elections in 1965 and 1969 . It was newly formed for the 1965 Bundestag election from the former constituency Husum - Südtondern - Eiderstedt and the northern part of the former constituency Norder- and Süderdithmarschen . It was numbered 3 in the 1965 to 1972 elections and has been numbered 2 since the 1976 federal election. From 1972 to 1998 inclusive, a hyphen was placed between Dithmarschen and Nord .

The area of ​​the constituency consisted of the districts of Husum , Südtondern , Eiderstedt and Norderdithmarschen in 1965 and 1969 . After the district reform in Schleswig-Holstein, the constituency for the 1972 election was made up of the newly formed district of North Friesland and the northern part of the also newly formed district of Dithmarschen. The constituency still exists in this form today.
