The Port Moresby International Airport ( IATA code : POM , ICAO code : AYPY ) and Jacksons International Airport or Port Moresby Airport , located near the town of Port Moresby and is the largest and busiest airport in Papua New Guinea .

The national airline Air Niugini has its home base and hub at the airport, which flies to various domestic destinations as well as destinations in Australia ( Brisbane , Sydney and Cairns ) as well as Honiara , Hong Kong , Manila , Singapore and Tokyo . Airlines PNG also flies within Papua New Guinea as well as to Brisbane and Cairns in Australia.
