Arfst Wagner

Arfst Wagner (born March 13, 1954 in Wyk auf Föhr ) is a German teacher , writer and politician (non-party, previously Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From 2012 to 2013 he was a member of the German Bundestag , from 2015 to 2017 he was state chairman of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Schleswig-Holstein .

Life

Arfst Wagner studied from 1977 to 1978 at the Institute for Waldorf Education in Witten - Annen , from 1978 to 1980 eurythmy at the School for Eurythmy Art with Heinz Schimmel in Hanover and from 1979 to 1981 acting and speech formation at the School for Speech Formation and Dramatic Art at JW Ernst in Muttenz near Basel. From 1981 to 2015 he was a teacher for eurythmy and free religion at the Free Waldorf School in Rendsburg .

In 1980/81 Wagner was involved in setting up a “free study group” in Freiburg-St. Georgen involved. In 1987 he founded Lohengrin-Verlag, which initially endeavored to publish Polish classics ( Adam Mickiewicz ) and to promote German-Polish relations, and later to publish works on anthroposophy and on the subject of "Anthroposophy and National Socialism ". From 1987 to 2007 Wagner was a member of the editorial team of the anthroposophical journal Flensburger Hefte . From 1988 to 1990 he was editor of Pegasus magazine . He is a member of the Anthroposophical Society . Since 2015 he has been a member of the School - Business - Politics Board of Trustees of the Institute for Talent Development (IfT).

From 2001 to 2002 he studied eurythmy therapy at the Hamburg-Rissen hospital (certified eurythmy therapist).

Arfst Wagner is the father of three children.

Political activity

In the 1980s he worked for the Polish trade union movement Solidarność in the “Solidarnosc Mainz Action Committee” and, under the pseudonym Josef Niemec, author of the Solidarnosc Bulletin . He organized the financing of an ecological farm in Poland near Olsztyn / Mazury .

In 2005 he ran for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Schleswig-Holstein on the lists for the state and federal elections. He was spokesman for the social policy LAG of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Schleswig-Holstein from 2003 to 2005. He has also been a member of Attac since 2000 .

Wagner co-founded the citizens' initiative for an unconditional basic income in Schleswig-Holstein in 2008 and has been its spokesman since then. From 2010 to 2012 he was a member of the Network Council of the Basic Income Network. For the federal election in 2009 he ran for fourth place on the list of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Schleswig-Holstein and for the state election in Schleswig-Holstein in 2012 as a direct candidate for the party in constituency 6 (Schleswig).

Since June 18, 2012, Arfst Wagner has been a member of the German Bundestag for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen as a replacement for Ingrid Nestle, who has resigned . For the 2013 Bundestag election , he was again placed in fourth place on the list at the state party congress in Eckernförde on March 16, 2013, but the election result was only enough for three seats.

Since May 2015 Wagner has been state chairman in the dual leadership of Bündnis90 / Die Grünen in Schleswig-Holstein together with Ruth Kastner . Wagner and Kastner were replaced by Ann-Kathrin Tranziska and Steffen Regis in October 2017 .

He left the party in mid-2018.
