List & Label is a software development component that is integrated into applications and supplements them with reporting functions (statistics, tables, reports, forms, lists, diagrams, labels, etc.). The integration can take place under Microsoft Windows with different development environments such as Embarcadero RAD Studio or Microsoft Visual Studio . List & Label supports a wide range of programming languages ​​and frameworks such as .NET / .NET Core with C # / VB , C ++ , Delphi , Java and others. With List & Label, data can be called up, evaluated and output in various forms, regardless of the database or the database. The List & Label Designer can be passed on to end customers with most desktop applications without additional license fees.

History and Development

List & Label has been developed by the manufacturer combit since 1992. The reporting component is used worldwide and the List & Label Designer is available in around 15 languages. List & Label has received several press awards in the course of its product history.

From version 7 there is a Unicode / Multibyte version for international use. Since July 2001, List & Label has included a special component for .NET support. And from version 8 customers can use the Report Designer to create charts to visualize the data. From version 11 multi-tables / subreports were added, and from version 12 List & Label supports digital signatures . A 64-bit version is available from version 15. Since November 2010 the reporting component can also be used for web applications in the cloud computing platform Windows Azure . The current version (January 2020) is List & Label 25.

Report Designer

Users use the List & Label Designer in the application to visualize data and to design and output reports. Basically, z. B. under .NET all databases can be used. Any other data sources whose printing and design engine are controlled with their own code are also possible. The reports created consist of lists, multi- tables , crosstabs, forms, labels, diagrams , HTML objects, RTF objects, OLE containers, graphics, barcode objects with more than 40 directly supported barcode formats and other elements. When used in web server applications, the functions of the so-called print engine are also available via the Internet. An HTML5 viewer is available in the current version . This allows reports to be displayed interactively in almost any browser. List & Label is used as a component by millions of end users worldwide.
